Yesterday August 1, 2019 Universal Orland announced the addition of its new park Universal’s Epic Universe. They are calling it the fourth theme park, but to me a water park doesn’t count (just my opinion) so I consider it the third park. Regardless, this is very exiting news!
Here is an exerpt from Universal’s official blog:
“Universal’s Epic Universe will offer an entirely new level of experiences that will forever redefine theme park entertainment. Guests will venture beyond their wildest imagination, traveling into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as astounding as the destination. The new location will feature a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants and more. Ultimately, this expansion will create more space and freedom to let loose and create lasting memories with the people you love.”

I don’t know about you, but I think this sounds awesome! Universal has really stepped up it’s game over the last decade and I can’t wait to see what else they come up with. The one thing I am not sure about is the distance between parks. Below is a map from Universal that shows the location of the new park compared to the rest of Universal Orlando. I know Disney is very spaced out but it is all on Disney Property so it feels different. I am sure it will be an easy back and forth it just seems like it would take you out of the experience a little bit.

What are your thoughts on the new park? Let me know in the comments!
