Exciting Announcements for Walt Disney World This Week

This week there has been a couple of new announcements for Walt Disney World regarding extra magic hours and MagicBand options. Looks like some exciting new things are coming to WDW! Let’s dive right into the news.

EXTRA, Extra Magic Hours

From September 1^st to November 2^nd 2019 Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests will have access to more Extra Magic Hours, being referred to as extra, Extra Magic Hours. This benefit is also available to guests of the following hotels: Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Shades of Green® Resort, Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

Here are the details of the extra, Extra Magic Hours:

Disney’s Hollywood Studios—including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land attractions and more—from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM daily

Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park—including Pandora – The World of Avatar and other attractions throughout the park—from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily

Magic Kingdom Park—including attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland—from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily

This sounds awesome! With it including Galaxy’s Edge it is a major benefit.

MagicBand Upgrades

Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests and annual pass holders are currently given a free solid color MagicBand with their name on it in their choice of colors. Soon you will have the option to upgrade yourf MagicBand at a discounted price from the standard solid color to one of the many character and special design options offered at WDW. The upgraded MagicBand discount will be $14.99 off of the regular retail price using the My Disney Experience website.
