Hi Everyone! Today I want to discuss the ever popular, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Yes, we are going to talk about Halloween in August, because the first party has already happened! There are a ton of new and exciting things going on this year, so let’s jump right in.
First, let’s discuss the basics-
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event that happens on select nights now through November 1st. There are 36 parties total. This party does happen at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland but we will be focusing today on Walt Disney World. Tickets for this event range between $79-$135 for adults and $74-$139 for kids depending on what date you choose. Annual Passholders are eligible for discounts on certain nights.
The party is from 7pm – 12am but your ticket will get you into the park as early as 4pm. At the party you will find lower wait times due to the lower capacity limits for the parties. You will also find special shows and parades, ride overlays, special snacks, trick or treating, and character meet and greets.

Party Dates:
Below you will find the dates available for the Halloween Party. Generally October 31st and opening day will be the busiest parties of the year. Friday’s in October are also busier parties. Sunday – Thursday are usually less crowded due to less locals coming on those days, especially in August – September.
August 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29
October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31
November 1
Things to note on party days:
-If you are a guest at Magic Kingdom who is not going to the party, you will have to leave the park by 6. They will start to check for wristbands when getting in line for attractions and you will be turned away if you don’t have one. I suggest planning your trip around the party dates. If you don’t plan on doing the party, it may make more sense to plan a different park for that day or plan for a half day.
-There are no FastPass+ selections available for the party, but you shouldn’t need them. Wait times are generally much lower so you should not have a problem waiting in the standby line.
-Costumes are encouraged! On normal days adults are not able to wear costumes, but during the party everyone is welcome to dress up! There are some guidelines so make sure to check the Disney website to make sure your good to go.

-Once you arrive you will be directed towards a cast member to receive your wristband at the entrance. If you are an Annual Passholder or you have a regular day ticket, you are welcome to spend all day at the park. You will find “wristband distribution” booths in different areas of the park so you do not have to go all the way to the entrance.
-There are allergy friendly centers listed on the map for those guests who want to trick or treat but have food allergies.
-There will be special Magic Shot PhotoPass locations around the parks and on rides, so keep an eye out!
